Feels pretty overwhelming honestly cuz I don't have anything going on in my life but at the same time I feel like I'm constantly doing shit cuz I'm constantly looking for new and old things to get invested in, constantly looking for new art and animation and SHOWS and on top of that I want to make my own stuff too like drawing or just thinking of ideas in my head with characters movin around or talkin you know the biz REGARDLESS like I do have stuff I gotta do irl like stuff I gotta take care of obviously but a lot of what I occupy my time with is just looking into lots of creative works and also just keeping up with NEW stuff as well as wanting to look back on all the OLD stuff and then practice the techniques and drawings it just all feels like a LOT despite it feeling like I'm not really doing anything lol

#like I want to read and keep up with some stuff #talk with friends and keep up with them #keep up with GAMES making sure I don't miss out on anything #practice drawing stuff y'know trying out different styles #but then also like. if I spend 10+ hours just investing my time into ONE thing #and then NEW stuff comes out that I also gotta keep up with #and then other new stuff totally unrelated to the other stuff #and then that other new thing that I'm trying to keep my eye on #and all these new artists that I find #and then ALSO wanting to go back and look at OLD cartoons #practice drawing THOSE looking back at old cartoons and how they typically are and work #watching whole shows and binge watching a buncha old ones #and like I mean OLD shows #PLUS wanting to rewatch shows from my childhood on top of THAT #just so much I wanna do !!!!#and I do not have the time to do it all !! at least not all at once !!!#aaa!!! lmao it's such a NON issue ig but still !! I'm out here !!#I just need to work on makin the list smaller and smaller so it becomes more manageable #gotta chip it down slowly ^^

#my art #marinette dupain cheng #miraculous ladybug #miraculous fanart #style mimic #sorry for the @s btw #yall should go follow those artists if you dont already also #this was sort of inspired by a post the three artists on the top row made #i think they all got together and drew with one another #which is really cool #but i was genuinely confused because i mimic styles a lot #and ive seen others do it too so i was just like #wow they really know each others styles really well #until i thought about it and read their posts some more #style mimicking is really freaking fun and i think its really good practice #and a good way to explore other ways of doing things #like you really have to learn new techniques and get out of your comfort zone #also anna scribbles i could not find a recent pic of marinette in her main outfit #so thats the only marinette i drew in different clothes cuz i couldnt find a more recent ref of you drawing it #anna scribble marinette has privileges thats the others dont #but ye #i also threw my own style in there as a frame of reference to what me draw like #ive drawn marinette before just not in a loooong while #sabertooth walrus was the hardest for me to mimic cuz they have a broad range in their style #so its like which sabertooth do i wanna be in this pic #Buggachat has such a distinct style thats very clean and consistent which is amazing so they were easy #being easy or hard arent bad things either it also has to do with like styles meeting up with one another #buggachats and mine arent too too different in some shapes and aspects #so yeah itd be easier plus they drew marinette like 3 sec ago so i have more recent of a ref #as opposed to sabertooth who i have a recent ref of ladybug but not marinette so we got two diff styles in one

Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.

I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!

#poorly drawn mdzs #art summary #Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year #then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. everyone loves talking about little jon in correlation to mr. spider but no one ever talks about how insufferable this kid was. i wouldn’t wish sitting next to him in class upon my worst enemy

i don't really care if richardson is reusing art, tracing, and altering it that's like normal artist stuff, but i do think his harsh lighting is one of the things i dislike as it feels very disconnected with the themes and tones of the series. his other work - geared towards superhero, sci-fi, and so on - work with that style, but i don't think it reflects warriors very well. i also just like more earthy tones so that's a me bias.

#also everyone has said it but i find his compositions very boring for warriors #but if he's not a cat artist and is on limited time. i Get It #people clown on the cat close ups but he had to make a shit ton of remake covers in a short time #and it's pretty obvious all the ugly close ups are like. the ones he had to remake #now the new books are all full bodies and actual scenery
